Sinfonia Smith Square is delighted to welcome British Airways as its first Airline Partner, in a new collaboration which reflects the two organisations’ shared belief in the power of cultural experiences to connect people and to create opportunities.

At the heart of the partnership is Sinfonia Smith Square’s annual orchestral Fellowship programme, which brings together 34 exceptional early-career instrumentalists for an intensive programme of performance, training, and professional development.

As Airline Partner, British Airways will help bring these talented young musicians to London from all corners of the globe, opening opportunities for them to take part in the Fellowship regardless of where they are based. The 2026/27 orchestra hails from 15 different countries.

In turn, British Airways’ significant annual support will enable Sinfonia Smith Square’s musicians to travel beyond London to performances, festivals, and projects overseas. This includes the orchestra’s annual residency at the Anghiari Festival in Tuscany.

The partnership will also underpin our international concert series at Smith Square Hall, enabling acclaimed artists from around the world to perform to UK audiences in the heart of Westminster – including as part of the London Festival of Baroque Music and London Festival of Chamber Music.
