Imogen Whitehead is a London-based trumpet player whose work spans orchestral, solo and chamber music.

She’s held trials with the UK’s major orchestras, appeared regularly with ensembles like the LSO and Aurora Orchestra, and was recently appointed Principal Trumpet of Britten Sinfonia. Alongside her performing career, she’s a passionate advocate for new music, commissioning and recording works that push the boundaries of her instrument.

We caught up with Imogen to talk about her time in the Fellowship, her self-released debut album, and what it’s like to balance life as both a soloist and a sought-after orchestral player.
