Fast becoming a highlight of the orchestra’s summer calendar, Sinfonia Smith Square returns to ‘Summer at Snape’ with a performance of Beethoven’s exuberant Seventh Symphony.
This concert showcases Sinfonia Smith Square’s exceptional music-making in a symphony Beethoven considered among his finest. The programme also features Hungarian virtuoso cellist and composer Pál Hermann’s epic Cello Concerto, written in 1925. Left incomplete at the time of his tragic death in 1944, the work was reconstructed ninety years later by Italian composer Fabio Conti.
