Biography
My musical journey began when I was 8 with private piano lessons and singing in a school choir. I’ve been fortunate with my first teacher and I decided that I wanted to go to the musical school to study drums but I was given a clarinet instead and it has become my main passion since then. As a child, I was very fortunate to see a lot of ballet, opera, and exhibitions in Saint-Petersburg with my mum because she is an artist and knows all of the interesting events around the city.
After my music school, I decided to continue studying music at the college and attended Saint-Petersburg’s Mussorgsky Music College for 4 years. It was a great time for me because I had amazing and inspiring teachers and passionate peers. I participated in many competitions and did a lot of orchestra and chamber music.
During my last year at college, I won a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where I spent one year, and transferred to the Royal Academy of Music in London where I stayed for the next 5 years. In both conservatories, I learned so much and had a lot of experience in professional orchestras such as LSO, BBC NOW, RLPO, and others. Upon my bachelor’s graduation, I was lucky to receive a Global Talent Visa which allowed me to work and stay in the UK. I started freelancing and teaching in London and other cities in the UK. During my time at the Academy, I won the “Buffet Crampon Clarinet Competition” after which I was awarded an Eb clarinet and could annoy my neighbours even more.
Outside of music, my interests vary from attending digital design workshops to running in parks and enjoying different cuisines. I also love travelling and exploring other cultures and meeting people from all over the world. I used to travel a lot using Couchsurfing which gave me so much fun and amazing memories. I enjoy very much just walking in the parks and listening to music.
