Biography
Nick Starr founded London Theatre Company with Nicholas Hytner in 2015 on leaving the National Theatre which they ran 2003-2015. Their first new theatre, the 900-seat flexible Bridge, opened in autumn 2017. Their second venue opened in King’s Cross Central as Lightroom, an innovative immersive projection-based medium, with a celebrated show made with and about David Hockney. Board chairs include Battersea Arts Centre, the Bush Theatre and the Yard Theatre. Nick received a special Olivier Award in 2014 and Tony Awards in 2012 and 2015, and was made CBE in 2014.
