Join a special group of supporters making the Anghiari Festival possible.
The Anghiari Festival has run alongside Sinfonia Smith Square’s core orchestral training programme in the UK for over 20 years, providing exceptional music to visitors, residents, and locals in Italy, and a rewarding challenge to our musicians, who perform a diverse range of music across the week.
It offers a unique and enriching experience for each Sinfonia musician and attendee, forging memories (and friendships) that last a lifetime. However, unlike many other festivals, it is not a commercial venture.
It costs Sinfonia Smith Square £50,000 to organise, travel to and perform in the Festival, covering the cost of flights, coaches and car hire, accommodation, soloists, additional players for larger works, instrument and equipment hire and staffing costs. If we were to split this between our 34 Sinfonia Fellowhip musicians, the cost per person would be £1,470.
We’re seeking your help to fund each talented brass, string, woodwind and percussion player making the music we love in Anghiari. Fortunately, there are many ways you can enjoy the Festival and support the Sinfonia at the same time!
