Since its founding in 1984, LFBM has celebrated the dynamism of Baroque music and its continued influence on today’s musical landscape. Set in Smith Square Hall, a Baroque architectural masterpiece built in the 18th century and reinvented as an acoustic marvel for the 21st, the Festival will once again feature world-class performances of some of the most captivating music ever written.

Internationally-acclaimed counter tenor, Iestyn Davies, returns for the second year as Festival Artistic Adviser. 

“Our 2026 season, titled ‘Refractions’, invites you to experience the brilliance of the baroque era through a lens of transformation, coloured both by the passage of time and the unique perspectives of the performers themselves.
